Aloha, Sharon, Gary and Quinn. It's snowing here today, in Vancouver, BIG,FAT flakes, and I would like to turn around and hightail it back to Hawaii, right about now! No can do, however, so I thought the next best thing would be to sit down and send you all an email just to let you know how very much Bonnie and I LOVED Life Without Walls and our {too brief!) stay there. It was absolutely the perfect spot to land in when we got to Hawaii and we were sorry our stay was not longer. You are providing QUITE a wonderful and unique accommodation there, in paradise, and I wanted to thank you for this and the lovely touches you've added to create such a pleasant abode! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your care and joy in crafting this space, and for your ease in sharing it. We want to stay forever! We want to become millionaires so we can buy all the land from this kitchen to the ocean and give it to you, so that Life Without Walls can keep its charm in perpetuity. Sharon, just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful time we spent in your little house. The little touches of personal generosity that you added were just icing on the cake for an already stupendous vacation/honeymoon. We will not soon forget the wonderful time we spent watching the geckos chase each other, or the sun setting over a lava field and jungle at our fingertips. Perhaps an anniversary will lead us back there again; we sure hope so.

Dear Sharon,We continue to carry within us the aloha spirit. We were ready for some new perspectives and the combination of the time in our lives, the Puna essence and the openness and simplicity of your home all coalesced at just the right time with all the right ingredients to make some magic for us. I'll always remember you and your place without walls as a time of wonder and awe. The magic is contagious.
I would love to take a moment to tell you a bit about what we did as it was a very special day in its own way. I started the day with yoga at Kalani Honua, and Tim went snorkeling at Kehena's black sand beach. We met back at LWW, read, cleaned up and then biked to old Kalapana, which we loved. We wandered out on the lava flow to the New Kalapana black sand beach. From there we biked to the painted church. Then we biked to the steam vents further up Hwy.130 and hiked in to a lava bed that was so warm that lying it, with a misty warm rain and the steam all falling on us from above, was like getting a heavenly massage. From there we cruised down Kamaili St.and back home. That evening we went into Pahoa for dinner. It's not every guest that gets to enjoy a blue moon at your place without walls. I feel grateful for time you once took in our life to create and enjoy life in that space. Your kindness in trusting us with your bikes was also a gift.

I don't think we ever told you what a wonderful time we had at your place. We had the most wonderful, relaxing vacation at your delightful cabin. Being able to live outdoors was exactly what we wanted out of our time in Hawaii, and being able to do it in total privacy was a blessing! It was so romantic that shortly after we left you (literally the next day) Dov proposed to me! We think of you and your home fondly and recommend you to everyone we know.

Life Without Walls is something we tell all our friends about, because we had such a great time! To cook an egg, and look out over the ocean, to walk to beautiful black sand beaches, to drive 10 minutes to coconuts and snorkeling, and to watch geckos play on the walls! How great! We would go back in a heartbeat!
